This top hat is formed from two simple shapes. My original sketch was composed of just a rectangle and a figure of eight beneath it. The use of shading on the top half gives us the three dimensional quality. Because this image is composed from vectors it is scaleable to any size without a loss of quality. Simple repetitive images are sometimes easier to create on the computer than in real life. A collection of ball barings can be evenly lit with ease on screen whereas achieving this on the factory floor would have been almost impossible. This is a bitmap image.

Next Door's cat is really friendly which makes her an ideal model for an illustration.
